Hi Scotty, I hope you’re doing well. Everyone is concerned about regular oil change like 5K miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. How come the European cars like Volkswagen and others do their oil change at 30,000km(18,650 miles) or 24 months. I just don’t get it. If you take the car to the dealership for service before you’ve reached the 30K they won’t take it in. Are they out of their mind or I’m missing something? Thank you

Do it every 5,000 miles, 18k is asking for trouble.

Because when you are out of warranty, then problems start to show up and you have to pay for the repairs yourself.

Change your oil, filter and PCV valve at 5000 miles (8046 km) max.
