My father's 2017 Volvo s60 has 48,000 miles makes a squeaking noise and My mom called the extended warranty and they said to call the dealer and the dealer has to call them. They really have no idea what they are doing thus. The car used to charge our phones then it doesn't anymore. My mom just got ripped off by those extended warranty claims.
Clarification: Is the extended warranty through the OEM manufacturer (Volvo) or is it one of those 3rd party warranties?

You can not count on those warranties. Instead, find an honest mechanic to avoid being ripped off by dealers.
