I just got my first car it's a 2007 Chevy Impala LTZ, 3.9L V6 with 175,000 miles for $3k the thing runs flawlessly for the mileage the only problem i have is when im at a complete stop and press on the gas, I'll admit a but hard the car jerks almost like it's trying to give me whiplash but then after that the car goes back to normal. This only happens sometimes, other times i can step on it and it will be fine. I can probably live with this issue since it runs perfectly fine otherwise. Im just a bit curious what's the issue?

May be transmission related at that mileage. But do check the simple things first like all the engine & transmission mounts.

Common problem with those. Its the transmission. I had the 06 and it did the same thing. I had the transmission rebuilt and it still did it again. I had the shop rebuild the transmission a second time for no charge. They did and it still did it but just not as often. They are decent cars as far as the engines go but the transmissions suck. I eventually sold mine for what I could at 200,000 miles. They also have rotor problems if you havent had that one yet its coming. If you want to rebuild the transmission you can but I would get rid of it and get something else. Good luck. (This happens with both the big and small engine)
Does it feel like its also about to stall when this happens?
