Hey,

This is the second time I’ve changed the spark plugs since I’ve had the car in 2017. They haven’t looked like this. It’s was back in 2019/2020 when I changed the spark plugs and coil pack.

No engine light or service light of any kind. Currently my car is jumpy. Idled in reverse was like bull riding. Mid drive is clunks here and there what feels like hard changing in gears. Wouldn’t take off like before. That’s what had me change the spark plugs and transmission fluid. I know, I need the little bits in the fluid to keep the grip that’s why it wasn’t a flush but a change. Too bad I couldn’t open the drain plug. Gave up. It was too tight I don’t have extra pipe laying around and didn’t want to strip it.

I changed the spark plugs to find out 3 out of 4 ignition coils are either cracked or hair lines cracks. The spark plugs have black stuff on the thread and white stuff on the top. Changed only the spark plugs because well I can’t purchase the ignition coils right now. Car is sitting up waiting for me.

Start the car and it’s a squeal at the start. I changed my water pump and serpentine belt maybe aug/sep 2021 so I know it’s not the belt. I look and the tensioner bolt is wobbling. That’s not good.

So with the condition of spark plugs and coil pack as well as the other symptoms presenting themselves what is going on with my car? Is it a lot of different things or a main culprit?

Yeah replace the tensioner pulley and those things get old they just burn oil just keep taking care of it as well as you can eventually the engine will wear out but change the oil change the spark plugs is a clog up live with the rest

It's probably squealing when you start because the bearing in your tensioner pulley is shot and by the looks of that spark plug you may want to do a compression test.

It looks like you're burning oil and that spark plug may have been shorting out instead of the spark jumping the spark plug's electrode gap like it's supposed to

Yes my car burns oil like crazy. I can’t by pass that. I just check it frequently and top it off a lot.
