What can cause a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe to be hard to start?

I will start after about 5-8 seconds of cranking if the vehicle has been sitting for longer than about 30 minutes.  Replaced the air filter, Purge valve (currently have a P0441 code - replacing the valve did not fix the problem), cleaned the MAF sensor.  Only other thing I can think of is that I saw something online about the hoses on the fuel pump can leak and allow fuel to leak back into the tank - can be fixed by putting hose clamps on the hose at the fuel pump.  If losing fuel pressure due to this leak then it makes sense but was wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

How long have the spark plugs been in there versus the recommended replacement interval?

I would check the fuel filter. They can get clogged and need replacement.

It will start...just slow to do so.  The videos suggested are for a car that doesn't start at all - mine starts and then runs fine after that.  The behavior suggests that fuel is not present when crank starts and has to build before start is successful
