Hey scotty I am looking for a daily cheap sports car made in America. Should I buy a Chevrolet corvette c4, Pontiac firebird trans am gta, or Chevy camaro z28 gen 3/4

Those are all high-maintenance machines, and you have to not mind that.  Get the one you are most passionate about and won't mind wrenching on.

Between those three I would take a 4th Gen Camaro. In fact, I own one. {black}:laughingoutloud:

The Trans Am is going to be overpriced on the used market. Mustang isn't in the picture/mentioned so that's out. The C4 Corvettes are fun but certain parts can get expensive.

The Camaro will be finicky too due to age. These are all older GM's so throw reliability out the window. If you want performance on a budget you have to give up reliability to get there. But Camaro parts are cheap, plentiful, and the LS motors are reliable and easy to work on.

I'd go with a Crosley Hotshot over any of those myself.

If you are open to a mustang, get that because it is the best one of the 3 and get the v8 if you do. The camaro is the lowest quality of the ones listed, the corvette is too expensive, and the pontiac is OK but is kind of old to buy in 2021.

If you want a daily driver then I would stay away from any you listed. If you do get a mustang or a camaro to drive daily I would do a V6 , then that defeats the purpose. When I was younger I completely restored a 78 T/A, looked just like the 77 in Smokey abd the Bandit. I had the 403 Oldsmobile big block, and boy was it fun to drive. I got a whopping 7 miles per gallon. I would recommend a beater car for daily driving and a sports car as a seperate purchase.

I'd get an older vette and drive it while I fixed it up.

If you can afford the insurance!

Now if you have the cash, look on Hemmings Motor Week. They have scads of sport cars for sale.
