IMHO, the car that is dumb to have is the one you can’t afford to own, repair, and maintain.
If you have the time and money to spare, no car is dumb to own.
If you don’t have the money for monthly payments, even a brand new Honda or brand new Toyota is dumb to own.
Most people don’t have oodles of cash laying around, so that makes a lot of cars dumb to own by default.
Money pit cars or endless money pit cars. Pick your next vehicle wisely (year, make, and model) and no, not all Toyota’s and Honda’s are good.
