Hi Scotty and community! I've been on the market looking for a cheap used pickup truck. I've heard good things about different makes and model years, but I recently came across a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with 124,693 miles. The used dealer wants $7,500 for it and I have a mechanic who is a family friend who is willing to check it out. Is it worth the money or are there better options to keep an eye out for? I've heard good things about older Chevys and knew somone that had one of the same model year until 2015 and he only got rid of it because of fuel efficiency but I'm not necessarily worried about that. Any help would be much appreciated!
Do the "check it out" and then ask about how good it is. Every used vehicle is only as good as how it may "check out".
Those older Chevys are great trucks.
