Get the 2004 LS430. Great looking car in my opinion. It has the perfect balance of electronics not too many where the electronics will cause many problems down the road and high repair bills. And those engine were rock solid. Also nice interior and you can pick one up will 100k miles or less within your 8000 dollar budget.
I'd also recommend considering the ES as they are very similar and the ES would be more reliable, but hey if its your dream car go for it!
I will agree to disagree with you Kerem, the LS is on a completely different level than the ES in terms of luxury. I would try to get around an 09 ls 460.
I loved my 2008 LS460. It ran perfect to 100k but then the knock sensors went out. $3000 job to have a shop repair it. So I sold it.
But it was an excellent car and I'd love to own another.
Realize with the LS that it has a V8 and eventually when the starter and knock sensors need to be replaced it can cost several thousand dollars to replace due to their placement (poor design decision). Just something to keep in mind.
