Hello simple question hopefully someone can answer. I’m debating on getting a new car and I have a few in mind but the two I keep going back-and-forth with is a Subaru WRX or a Ford Fusion both are 2020 thanks

Very different cars.  The fusion is a solid, if a bit pedestrian mid size sedan.  The WRX is a frantic sports car with rally car aesthetics and tuning potential.

What are your needs, wants, priorities?

FWIW, I owned an ‘18 WRX for a few years. Excellent car for its intended purpose, but I was getting too old for it.

Trying to not be bias bc I love my WRX, but I mean, Subaru build quality is a big step up compared to Fords.

WRX is more fun to drive and can handle snowy conditions better (depending on where you live).

I just want decent reliability for something affordable price, but I also want speed. AWD  is also a factor which I know Subarus pretty good at. I go back-and-forth because Subarus are a bit over the price range than what I would like. If it helps, I live in California. So that I will drive would be more for handling.

note, I am going from a 2000 Toyota Camry with really high mileage not that that matters but I do understated that reliability compared to a Camry is not there I just want something good that I can finance and work on my credit with and still enjoy the car for a few years thanks

Sounds like WRX might be a better fit, then. Purchase price might be a little higher but long term maintenance is very inexpensive (and it is an extremely DIY-friendly car). But you absolutely MUST get a prepurchase inspection because many of them have been abused

WRX or a higher trimmed Impreza.

The WRX and Impreza are almost the same car, the WRX is the performance version.
