why is gas always cheaper at night usually about 10 cent or so

Is it better to pay full price in the morning? or is it all the same? just wondering why it would change at all

Basic economics.

The highest demand is when people travel to and from work.

Your car doesn't care when you buy gas, only your wallet.

I just get gas when I need it and don't think about it.

I have a 120L tank (32 gal). So a 10 cent difference in gas price translates into an extra six pack of beer.

Nice. If I had a tank that size I'd start watching prices too.

I fill up my tank at 3am in morning.
no line up at that time.

That is weird. In my town everyone is in the oil field so there is oil all around town, then some of it goes to a refinery thats only 40min away to be broken down to different products and yet we are paying 2.39 at the pump. Now it takes a lot less money to deliver to our town but we pay like it came from texas LOL what the hell is that all about?

Your oil is sold on the global market, so you have to pay the same per barrel price as everyone else hehe.

And then they add your federal + state + municipal taxes and ... there it is.

before you complain too much, I'm paying 4.17 USD/gal

Well that sucks. Sometimes I wonder about putting some condensate in my truck LOL. I heard of guys doing that but it burns up really quickly but I haul oil and condensate our here in wyoming and I was just so confused because its a cheaper process to get back to us refined.

well hopefully your city is benefiting from the income and business that oil extraction + refining brings.

What is condensate?

here is australia we pay per litre and the price does fluctuate quite alot  as there is fuel price discounting cycle. at the moment E10 is $1.30 aud per litre, then 91 octane is $1.36, 95 octane $170 and 98 octane $1.80. lpg prices are all over the shop, where i am i can pay between 66 cents a litre up to 86 cents per litre all with in a few kilometres away. when discounting of fuel prices are on in sydney, never buy after wednesday night as thursday it can jump as much as 30 cents per litre.

when lockdown hit us, and people stopped driving, gas stations suddenly had hectalitres of gas going stale and prices plummeted. Prices were the lowest I have seen since the 80's . Now they're back up to kick you in the balls prices.

same here, prices dropped to under $1.00 per litre, prices we have not seen here for over 15 years or so. i am lucky with my van being dual fuel. i run lpg all the time. most i ever paid for that was in a country town for 95 cents per litre.i regularly get lpg for around 65 -75 cents per litre while everyone else is paying double for low octane fuel.
