It seems newer EV cars are coming out with non-circular steering “wheels”. Take a look at the Tesla Model S Plaid or the Toyota BZ SUV. Even designers of concept cars of the past play around with non-circular steering wheels?
What is the logic of non-circular steering wheels? Are they better than circular steering wheels? Why or why not?

It's another gimmick to sell electric cars. Non circular steering wheel is not good and in some cases dangerous for normal driving.

Hahahaha. Was thinking the same thing.
There is no "Logic" to it at all. They are fine if you're driving a go kart that has a half turn lock to lock steering but stupid and dangerous on an everyday car.
