When to replace ball joints?

I have 2011 ram 1500 with just over 140000 miles on it. I just purchased a small lift/leveling kit for it (coil spacers pretty much) 2.5" in rear and 3" in front. I know my struts are leaking so I've got a brand new set of bilsteins going on both front and rear. My question is should I change my ball joints and tie rod ends while u have the front end apart? They're still tight it seems my alignment is still good and no extra slop. But I'm wondering how much life these parts have on them at a maximum. Should I go ahead and change them or not?

Well, it's a tie. Rods aren't worn. I'd leave them alone but Rams and notorious for weak ball joints. So I would change the ball joints where you got to take it apart

Awesome I'll get er did! Thank you much sir I love your channel!

But that being said if the factory ball joints are known to be weak is there an aftermarket brand u would recommend?

Once Scotty answers a question, he doesn't reply anymore in the same topic. You will have to create a new question if you want his answer.
