Hi
i bought a 2008 Volvo S80 at auction with 157,000 miles on it. It was leaking coolant so I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the reservoir and radiator for a reasonable price.
I let it sit for a couple of days and now it says low coolant level and to turn off the engine. What could be the issue
i also bought a 2009 Mercedes Benz GL450 with 225,000 miles on it and it has a suspension issue, so my mechanic converted it from air suspension to struts.
which car should I keep and which one should I sell?
Please don't post duplicates. It's a bannable offense in the forum rules. Thanks.
For the leak, you should find the leak source. You can use Fluorescent dyes that are compatible with coolant fluid. Scotty has a video on that.
About your other question:
Sell both if you can. But if you have to keep one, Keep the Volvo.
volvo: some air escaped. Top up coolant.
sell the merc. It has too much mileage and it will be expensive to maintain
If you must keep one and sell the other, definitely sell the Mercedes (endless money pit esp. at that mileage). If it were me, I’d sell them both.
