The head gasket on my 99 oldsmobile 88 blew last night. Got smoke coming out the exhaust, overheating and running rough but no coolant on the dipstick. Mechanics quoting me 2 grand to fix so i was wondering what the best head gasket sealer was and if anyone had any tips to give it the best chance of working. Thanks.

From past experience best head gasket sealer is a new head gasket not to be a jerk.. those dealers of they can seal a head gasket there also going to seal your thermostat and radiator fins. If they work at all it’s a bandaid and not really worth it

The bottled sealers might last for a short period of time but only a new head gasket will solve the problem.
