Which transmission to get on 2006 Camry 3.3 V6

Hi, I’ve been researching mid 2000’s Toyota vehicles to buy for a few days now and have come to the conclusion that a 2006 Camry SE V6 would be a great fit for what I’m looking for in a car. That being said, I plan to drive this car for 10+ years and reliability is going to be a big thing for me. I work on my own cars and know a few things about them but was wondering whether to get the standard or automatic transmission. I couldn’t find any info on the 5 speed automatic online and was also looking for recommendations on the manuals as well, thank you😎

Those are excellent cars. The transmissions are very good as well. A manual would be great in any car if you find one and it fits your criteria then why not get one but most are automatics and they last a long time.

On carcomplaints, there isn't a single transmission issues reported for the 2006 Camry, while some other years have plenty.

I don't have experience with it but I can still say the automatics are great but a manual would not be bad either.

Wondering what others will say too.
