Most of new cars that offers manual are few and mostly in small sedan/hatchback and sports cars but not in larger vehicles like SUV, truck, van etc. Why is that? They're fuel efficient, fun to drive and lasts forever than a poorly designed automatic transmission that will fall apart and cost fortune in the long run.
50-60 years ago it was common for trucks and vans to have standard transmissions. Today there is not much demand for them, they cost money to engineer, and every drivetrain variation costs money to have emissions certified to please the bureaucrats. So the economy of scale is just not there.
Why can't every vehicles offer stick shift?
most people don't want them
They're fuel efficient,
not anymore
fun to drive
not in the city.
lasts forever
it only needs to last as long as the car.
Car makers will attempt to meet the market demand. The demand for manual transmission in the United States is in the single digit percentages. Internationally that is another story, with more demand for manual transmissions.
