I just bought a 2003 Honda Civic LX automatic sedan with 198k miles only my second car as i am only 18 years old and i paid for it on my own. it runs and drives great has no issues that i know of after a few weeks, but when i put it in reverse it shakes, it doesn’t shake in drive or at idle or anything but reverse. i was wondering why it would be shaking and if it’s a bad thing.

  • Well start by checking out motor and transmission mounts. If they're broken it can often shake. Going backwards are not forwards

i believe the motor mounts are good not sure about the transmission mounts i’ll definitely look into it, thanks scotty
