I have a 2002 Ford Taurus SE Station Wagon with about 133K miles.
The car seems to have been taken care of well, but I'm not sure if it's been driven hard.
I just replaced the spark plugs and it is still bucking while accelerating at 60+. It seems to shift no problem, it bucks (lurching back and forth) on occasion while accelerating and stops when I let off the gas. I got the car used, I believe it just had one owner prior to myself.

Change the fuel filter and pressure test the fuel pump.

Bad torque converter in the trans? 20 years old.
