I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra around 57k miles automatic transmission. Recently it has a issue where it still take several attempts in the morning to start the engine

Then when I drive my car for while, turn off the engine and wait several minutes to start the engine. Sometimes, it will take two crack to start the engine while other time it will take least 8 attempts

What strange things were it work fine one day and then next day the same issue happen again. I did have fuel pump replace. Not sure there was a issue with the fuel pump or starter

Is your Check Engine Light on? A car runs slightly more rich when it's cold, then, once you turn it off, it floods out and there is too much gas. It may take several attempts to get it to start once you stop it.

Try cleaning it with fuel injector cleaner. It sounds like you don't run it very often. CRF fuel injector cleaner, if I remember right.

This is assuming you have the OEM unit still installed. If it's not installed and you used a cheap aftermarket part, the pump itself could be going out again if you don't have a CEL.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have my OEM unit fuel injector replace about two months ago because my car was having slow to start issue. I have a purchase a aftermarket unit on eBay that cost more than $150

Do I need to remove the fuel injector from my car to doing the cleaning job? Thank you

Is your CEL on?

CEL is not on
