Why not to listen to JD Power reliability.
According to them, some of the most reliable cars by category for 2020 (so 2016 model year) are:
Volkswagen Tiguan
Audi Q3
Chevrolet Sonic
Chevrolet Equinox
BMW X3
Kia Soul
Nissan Frontier
Hyundai Sante Fe
Dodge Challenger
BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo
Chrysler Town and Country
Buick Verano
Ford Expedition
Toyota Tundra
Ford Edge
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Toyota Highlander
Mini Cooper Conver.
GMC Terrain
This made me laugh so hard completly made up I know you don't trust JD Power anyways but it is just hillarious that almost every car review sites this as a source for saying that a car is dependable.
If Land Rover is #1 I will definitely believe it lmao
Yep According to the US news/ JD power combined data, a 9 year old Range Rover is worth $33,000 and has a 3/5 average reiability rating... Well this is the same site that gives a used 2011 Mini Cooper a reliability rating that is the same as the Civic's, a 5/5 among the best reliability. Yep...
These JD Power surveys never look at long term reliability (for example 10+ years and/or 100,000+ miles) where the reliability curves really diverge between the automakers.
They look at two reliability results. The first 90 days, and the first 36 months.
