I have a 98 Saturn sc2 automatic with 204k miles. Once in a while, it's noticeable when it shifts. Would Lucas automatic fluid potentially help my car or is it a waste?
Lucas will not fix a failing transmission. (No additive will.) Has the trans been properly serviced for the last 25 years?
We change it regularly. Just did it's fluid for the transmission around 201k miles. And have done the one before that 40k miles ago, ~160k miles. It's just old and have some shift that slip here or their and I wanted to know if it's possible to prolonged the inevitable.
The Lucas stuff may help temporarily. It sounds like you're basically at the point of "nothing to lose by trying". Be sure not to overfill the transmission if you decide to try it, drain a little out first.
