i have a 2003 chevy s10 since i bought it the drivers windshield wiper does not clean the window 1.cleaned windshield ,no luck 2.cleaned windshied wiper blade ,no luck
3.bought cheap windshield wiper blades ,no luck 4.bought expensive wiper blades no luck 5.bent arm ,no luck 6.took to at least 3 or 4 mechanics no luck
any ideas to fix this problem .what about replacing the arm etc.
So, the wiper arms move appropriately, but they don't wipe the windshield clean? Autozone, Advance and other auto parts stores will install wiper blades, so I would think they would be willing/able to tell you whether the arms need replacing.
If that's not possible, perhaps you could take a video or stills and post it here - hard to diagnose this without seeing it.
@glen_stet
i have went to autozone and they replaced wiper blades and said arms are working like they should i am not pc litertate when i turn wipers on when it is raining heavy or lite it does not clean in my eye site could it be the tension if so how do you adjust the tension
There should be a spring in the bottom center of the wiper arm that holds it against the windshield. It's not adjustable, but if it's not holding the wiper blade against the windshield, you need to replace the arm.
@glen_stet
one last thing do you measure the spring for the different lengths between both wipers to know one is bad or how do you tell one is bad and thank you very much you have showed me alot of insight more than others have on this problem
Rain X applied to clean glass. Water will bead and not be smeary to look through.
NAPA windshield arm "snuggies"...not recommended for hidden wipers.
