Hey Scotty,

i have little money but I live in the north so winter can be mild to deep snow. At the moment I have summer tyres on. Is it worth buying second hand wheels with winter tyres on. My only hang up is my car had TPMS valves fitted on the car as is.

Would my car be constantly be warning me tyres pressure error ?

It’s a toyota Avensis not sure you have them in the states

It's your choice.

If you have a spare set of rims (~$100 each), you can mount the wheels easily yourself.

If you get only tires, then a shop will have to mount and unmount them every year. It used to cost around $10-$15 per tire.

A constant irritating beep would be minuscule, compared to the risk of driving with summer tyres in the snow.

As @mmj said, either invest in a spare set of rims + winter tyres for your car, or have them mounted for each winter season.

You could also find cheap used steel rims and have the winter tyres mounted on them.
