  1. Ok here’s it goes before I posted on here about 7 months ago I didn’t end up buy my aunts car off or her (previous post) so I kinda stupidly bought a 97 crv for $250 I really like the car and for 253,997 miles on it this thing runs like a top I have on issue starting it every first turn of the key ever time. Believe it’s true you can’t kill a Honda but everything else is wearing out basically for all those I’m slowly trying to learn and do things I feel like I have the Ability to do myself. So here my magic question can Completely remove the a/c system and not have it effect anything? I’m asking cuz I don’t want to spend the money to have it fixed and I’m just looking to keep the car running does it controller or Connect to anything nice. I’m talking the Compressor itself the lines and the condenser? Also the Cruse contact never worked could I take that out too? Like I said I don’t know just asking

Cruise control? Just leave it and don’t use it. Why does it need to be removed?

Why take it out? If it doesn’t work and it’s not causing any problems just leave it as is? Of you want to remove it he compressor and stuff you’ll have to jump a ton of hoops to find a belt to fit without the compressor

Well also I replaced the valve cover gasket but now the water pump is going out and the stuff is just in the way cuz I really don’t want to take the Valve cover gasket back off again

Yes but you are right

Also I want to still be able to use the fan but not the ac I the summer time cuz if I try to turn the fan on the car starts over heating

Also The AC compressor is seized so if I disconnect the wiring to it can I still use the fan portion?

I agree some parts can be a nuisance getting to others but your still better off leaving them there. For the overheating concern are you sure you don’t have a cooling fan or radiator problem? That’s what it sounds like

Disconnect the wiring to the compressor clutch and it will just act as a pulley.

Oh yeah that makes sense
