Worn shocks causes clunks when turning steering wheel?

Hello everyone. It was yesterday I had the front shocks replaced on my Civic as they were pretty bad and I noticed ever since the new ones were installed I no longer hear a popping/clunking sounds when turning the steering wheel. Do worn shocks usually cause those 2 sounds to occur when turning the steering wheel?

did they also do the strut mounts? If so, possible your strut mounts where causing the clunking.

They did

Kind off, but as said earlier, it may have also been your strut mounts -

If the noise returns after a few weeks, it may be some other part in your suspension was worn, but temporarily stopped clunking when your front end was dismantled, while replacing the shocks.

I hope you used good quality shocks such as KYB, for maximum longevity.

Alrigh and Duralast Loaded Strut Assembly was what I purchased from AutoZone.

Fingers crossed it’s the end of your clunking..
