I have a Toyota Yaris 2008 1.5 Olive green. My question is that last year the original AC compressor of my car was shot I had to replace it. I reviewed my options instead of buying the one from the dealership for 1000$. I opted for a Chinese Corolla Compressor that costs me about 150$ including labor. The AC is blowing cold now since I changed it
but to achieve this the mechanic has to replace the Serpentine Belt of my car which does not match the original and car makes too many extra vibrations and noises only when the AC is on.

I live in Kuwait temperature here is around 50 C 7 months a year. We have to keep the AC on in order not to die here.

I am thinking of buying a brand new Toyota Fj cruiser 2022 since they still sell them in the middle east but I feel bad for my Yaris It is Made in Japan after all and have less than 140000 Kms on it. The Ac is weak but it runs amazingly without it.
