| Have a mechanic check out the Yaris. You didn't state the price but at that mileage they shouldn't be asking too high. | |||||

| @fjcruiser_2014 problem with the mazda 3 it’s not clean and it had some accidents.. I found a 2015 Yaris with 119k miles and a 2019 Hyundai Accent with 61k miles.. the accent is a little bit more expensive than the yaris. Which one should I go for | |||||

| This is a video by Scotty on Civic and Corolla years to buy/avoid. In that budget it'll be very hard to find something decent unless it's older model year and has higher mileage. One option to increase your chances in finding something decent in that range is if a neighbor or someone you know is selling one OR if you have a trusted independent mechanic maybe he can let you know if he comes across one. | |||||

| For future reference please don't "hijack" someone else's topic to ask your question, create your own topic instead. Thank you. (Topic split.) You'll be hard pressed to find anything for $3000 that is in decent condition. Expecting such a vehicle to be dependable for 4 or 5 years is very optimistic, bordering on wishful thinking. It will help if you are able to do your own repairs and maintenance. If you're lucky you might be able to find an old Corolla or Civic for that much. Avoid models with known inherent problems and be sure to have any used car checked out by a good mechanic before you buy it. | |||||

| As other folks have already responded no that's high mileage so no unless it's really cheap; so not even for $3k. How about a used Civic if that's easier to find in your area. Or go with the Mazda 3 you mentioned in your original post. | |||||

| @Neinbased No problem., note the carKiller site is mainly oriented toward a North American audience. To answer your question at 260K miles? No way. | |||||

| I have saved up to $3000 and am ready to buy my first car. What car should I go for that is in that range price and can be dependable for at least 4-5years? | |||||

| @hixster Sorry! Lol I did mean it in KM which is about 262k miles is that still fine? Most cars here have high mileage for some reason.. | |||||

| @ chuchtobias AMD all but took back his criticisms of the 2010-2011 Camry following his video review. He made several "corrections' in replies to comments, which were overwhelmingly positive. I've highlighted a couple posts with his replies: The 2010-2011 U760E transmission doesn't suffer from TC shutter as some later models with the same transmission. The 2010 and 2011 Camrys have proven to be very reliable. Regardless, @neinbased shouldn't buy one with high mileage unless it has verifiable service records (oil & tranny) because of the dealer promoted and recommended 10K oil changes. | |||||

| @hixster It still better be cheap to be considered with that kind of mileage on it. Looks like that year Camry may be prone to transmission problem, though it should not experience the trans shudder issue that the 2012-2014 models have, unless maybe it's a late 2011 build that received the problem transmission. | |||||

| @hixster, I gotta feeling he meant 423k km which is about 262k miles. | |||||

| I'm using a 2011 Camry as my daily driver and it's been completely trouble free. However, a Camry with 400K+ miles is near its EOL and expecting further trouble free service out of a car with that high of mileage is unrealistic, whether it's a 4 banger or V6. | |||||

| @fjcruiser_2014 well it’s hard to get a corella where I live everyone wants them. Is it better to get a 2011 camry checked by a mechanic and said it’s all good but it has 423k mileage? | |||||

| Between these four I would go with the Mazda 3 but definitely have a trusted mechanic check it out. You didn't state your budget but you can also consider used Corolla or Civic. | |||||
