| Answer to: Do you store a floor jack with the valve open or closed? | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I do open. For one, that is how it is when I last use it. For another, I think of it like a torque wrench, just leave it open all the way for storage. | |||||

| I've never given it a thought until now. I don't see why it would matter. | |||||

| Their jacks are actually pretty good. I've seen Scotty using them in his videos. I've been using HF jacks for years and had no problems. That little 1.5 ton aluminum job is great for ease of carrying around if you just need to get something under a control arm or maybe need to support an engine or transmission. He just got a bad one and unfortunately didn't test it until the warranty was over. | |||||

| I prefer rubber as it’s easier to clean but really it’s up to you. Some prefer the look of carpet. | |||||

| I've had the rubber ones since day one and have kept the carpet ones in the trunk and never used them. I live somewhere that rains frequently so with rubber it gets wet or dirty I can easily clean it. but yeah at the end depends on your personal preferences. | |||||

| 08 CRV EXL rust in rear pinch welds | 18Relevance | 12 months ago | gusbus148 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I just recently bought a 2008 Honda CRV EXL with 200k miles for $1200. Mechanically the engine and transmission are great. I hooked up a scan tool to it and found no codes, the engine sounds pretty quiet and the transmission shifts very smooth. I went through a list of fluids and other small things to change out and then I got to the rear struts. I jacked up the rear of the car and put jack stands under the pinch welds and a solid wood ramp under the rear tires. I then jacked up the front of the CRV by the front cross member and as I did that, the rear pinch welds disintegrated and the rear of the CRV fell onto the rear wooden ramps. At the end of this video you can see where the rear pinch welds were. I ended up putting the jack stands under the rear cross member and using a bottle jack for extra insurance when I changed the rear struts. I would like to change the entire rear suspension like the steering knuckle and upper control arm, but I was wondering if the car is too far gone rust wise and should i just cut my losses with money and work put into it already. Below is a video of the rear suspension. | |||||
