| I got a Infiniti g35 2006 6MT with 22x,xxx miles. It was a used vehicle bought from a family friend. I'm new to manual shifting so the g35 was practice but I had to learn very quickly because of a mechanic telling me the clutch was near-death. I caught onto rev-matching, down-shifting, and smooth shifting. Smooth-shifting = prolonged engine/transmission life from what I know. | but here is the thing, it is mostly a 350z underneath just with the addition of AWD, more tech, and more space, it has the same powertrain, same FM platform, and same switchgear. Nissan and Infinitis are kind of strange reliability-wise because ownership experience can drastically change depending on the engine and transmission choice you make, which has been a big thing with their cars since Renault took over Nissan (and I have talked to some Nissan/Infiniti mechanics). | Hi Scottie, my name is Ronnie. I have an 04 Infiniti g35 coupe base. I have recently started having an issue with my car. It would start an cut right off as if turning the key off. Replaced the throttle body and it fixed that. But now it will not rev up or drive. I scanned it and have the following codes P2127 and p2122. Are these for the pedal . Do I replace the pedal ? | I’d go with the Accord. I love the look of the g35. But if you want less problems in the long run, Accord. I’d be open to personal experiences with the g35. It might be good. | |||||

| Hi Scotty, LOVE Your YOUTUBE channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a 2004 Infiniti g35 6MT Coupe. 186k miles. Owned it for years. High mileage is from traveling to my son’s volleyball games. Engine problems now. Runs fine but I can smell gas on the oil dipstick. Infiniti dealership checked it out and determined ‘cylinder 3 has no compression due to piston ring failure.’’ They’re recommending a new engine assembly. What’s your opinion? Buy a new engine from Infiniti (apparently only one left) or buy a used one from…somewhere reputable? Thanks ... | |||||
