| Answer to: Should my dad sell his 2000 Avalon while it sells with good price and buy a tesla? | 29Relevance | 5 years ago | Kaizen | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| If your Dad wants a tesla, let him get a tesla. But don’t use selling the Avalon as an excuse to get one. Keep the Avalon for when your tesla leaves you stranded. | |||||

| ... But even if it's not, it's still happening everywhere . Businesses know it brings customers, and eventually when they start charging money, it will bring revenue as well. people don't want to drive anywhere. They want to drive home, park it, plug it in , carry one with their day and forget about it. You have to admit it sounds much nicer than waiting in line at a smelly gas station in freezing temps. to you, but to others its a luxury vehicle. the general aesthetic and fit & finish is probably of a higher caliber than other vehicles in the sa ... | |||||

| Scotty can you rate this song about teslas and let me know if it sums up your feelings about the car? Here are the lyrics: tesla Blues [Verse] Loved my tesla yeah thought it was a dream Shiny metal demon runs on electric steam Promised me freedom no gasoline smoke Now all it does is break can't take a single joke [Verse 2] Rollin' down the highway battery starts to die Engines stutter and choke make me wanna cry Tech gods fooled me wires tangled tight Speedin' into nowhere in the dead of night [Chorus] tesla blues got me drivin' insane Payin' a ... | |||||

| I would like to point out that this statement is flawed: "I mean just think about it, electric doesn't need that much maintenance as compared to gasoline cars and with fuel prices going up" Firstly: There be a reason that tesla still uses diesel trucks to ship their cars everywhere. Cause battery tech ain't good yet. Lead acid was used for over 130 years give or take and is still used while lithium ion was mass produced and used for only like 50 years or so. Rough estimates so don't @me. Personally I am excited for the solidstate battery to be in production ... | |||||
| Answer to: Is the Tesla Model Y a work of art?! | 72Relevance | 3 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| There are generally two reasons why people like teslas and drive them. First there are the ones who believe they are "saving the planet" or some such delusional nonsense. Second are gadget freaks who are in love with technology. The former are the ones that are the most disliked, much like the early Prius owners mocked by South Park years ago ("the Pious"). Those are the kind of tesla owners that I have most frequently encountered and they tend to be insufferable, just like Prius owners when hybrids were the latest in virtue signalling. (The gadget freaks ar ... | |||||

| Wall Street has a "herd mentality", and tesla is a perfect example of this. Scotty did comment on tesla in one of the last couple days' videos, talking about how Musk has asked his employees to pinch pennies to make them a viable company - yeah, coming from the world's second richest man. On the other hand, before tesla, everybody thought electric cars were low-performance, crude vehicles owned by eccentric nerds - he changed that. | |||||

| Hi Scotty, I just noticed that tesla's market capitalisation is $568 billion vs Toyota's market cap of 'just' $234 billion! Which means that according to Mr Market, the tesla business is worth 2.4 Toyotas!! This is despite the fact that Toyota earns about 35 times as much money as tesla. What are your comments on this? | |||||

| Beats me. I'm not sure what's so "super" about this so-called "bowl" or what all the hoopla is about, and I don't pay any attention to ads in general anyway. However anyone who's been paying attention knows that tesla's automated driving system isn't all it's cracked up to be. Just about anything having to do with tesla is more like the mother of all scams more than anything else. | |||||
| Answer to: Buying a salvaged title Tesla | 65Relevance | 2 years ago | Average Car Guy | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| As a general rule, I would stay far away from any salvaged vehicle, especially an electric one like a tesla. More specifically... I would not take those "certified papers" claims at face value. tesla has a lot of rules about "unsupported vehicles", and on their own webpage they recommend against buying a tesla with a salvage title. (link at bottom of post). Even if they are officially determined to be safe by tesla, the vehicle will have a low residual value due to it being a salvage title. Any major repair is likely to be cost-prohibitive relative to ... | |||||
| A rented Tesla Model 3 from Hertz ruined my vacation | 57Relevance | 4 years ago | designpill | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Recently rented a tesla from Hertz, because is wasn't much more expensive than a standard rental, and thought why not? Save on gas $$, and give an the electric car an extended test drive. Unfortunately, our rented Model 3 decided to develop sensor problems about 150 miles outside of Los Angeles. These warnings incapacitated the autopilot/cruise, and threw error codes on the screen and constant chiming alerts that collision avoidance and other safety features were not available. Tried to trouble shoot, (restart/reset car) (calibrate sensors) (research onli ... | |||||

| That doesn't mean anything to me since tesla makes junk. I always get comments from tesla fanboys about how great tesla cars are and others that are not tesla fanboys but have them just to see what they are like and they have been nothing but a nightmare at low mileage. The build quality is horrendous and they have had to spend money on stupid repairs to the body parts, the paintwork, and thanks to the poor dealership network, long wait times too. Compare that to our 2017 Ford Focus Electric, build quality IMO isn't the best with the Ford but ok enough, but ... | |||||

| tesla News: Under pressure from the NHTSA in the US, tesla will send out a software update so video games can no longer be played while vehicle is in motion. It seemed silly to me in the first place to allow games to be played while vehicle is in motion; of course you are going to get some drivers distracted and risk getting into an accident. What did tesla think was going to happen? | |||||
| What if Elon offers you money, Scotty? | 29Relevance | 5 years ago | prem_nirmal | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty, love your channel. I saw your video exposing Elon Musk and tesla. You have been boycotting tesla for a while now, and for completely valid reasons (pollution caused by creating batteries, no infra to support electric cars). But Elon Musk is a millionaire and he goes after all of his critics. Remember when he sued top gear and jeremy clarkson for saying bad things about tesla cars? So if Elon Musk were to offer you say a mere $5 million to take down your anti-tesla videos and to publicly advocate their cars, would you do it? | |||||
