| It's almost 20 years old. I would do a full inspection on it and be prepared for anything. 200k miles is A LOT of miles for that car, or any car. Make sure your cooling fans are working well. g35's had a massive recall regarding that back in the day. The fans would just stop working and the car would overheat. So check that out and also all your rubber and plastic items. (Belts, wipers, etc.) | |||||

| ... and look from under, looked like the parts of the front right oxygen sensor and catalytic tube area. Besides, there was coolant leakage, also sprayed on the drive belt. I let my car towed to the Infiniti Dealer because I was very close to it, though I had never been serviced in a dealer shop. I did make a couple of calls to other small auto shops, either they are full in wait line or saying they can't handle a situation like that, but I was just thinking they just don't want bothering ordering the OEM parts. After 3 days I got my Maintenance Details here: ... | |||||

| Ignition distributor help! Infiniti g20 | 34Relevance | 6 years ago | Tmoon010 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have an automatic 2002 Infiniti g20 with 212,000 miles. My ignition distributor went out on my car. I need help to know if a 2001 Infiniti g20 distributor will fit on my car? I see some distributors online that say 2000-2002 Infiniti g20 distributor for $200 and I've seen one that says 2001 Infiniti g20 distributor for $100 on partsgeek.com. Both year model engines are exactly identical to my knowledge, so I don't see it being an issue but I want to know before I order. Please please help me and thank you in advance! | I have no issue with you recommending one based on your opinion. I just ask you allow others to state their opinion as well without saying they are wrong. Personally, I have owned one Infiniti. It overheated on the 3rd day I owned it. It was a g35 coupe and the fans stopped working. This is a common problem on the car come to find out and there was even a recall for the issue. And the dealer tried to tell me the aluminum engine would be ok. That alone made me swear off the brand. But having worked on older ones, yes...they can potentially run a long time BUT ... | |||||

| 2004 Infiniti g35 coupe 6MT 58,000 miles I like right outside Portland Oregon and last weekend we almost hit 120 degrees. Drove my car 5 miles through town to the store. I come out and turn the car over and immediately my car has a huge plume of steam coming from under the hood. Under the hood is Freon everywhere and a blown A/C high pressure line. I thought it was coolant at first so I immediately shut the car down and towed it to the dealer. They want $200 for the part + 100 in oil and Freon. Labor included over $800. I’ll shop around for a better price i ... | |||||

| Answer to: Why o Why are most Dealers so inept? | 28Relevance | 6 years ago | Mod_Man | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Why did you take it to the Nissan dealer and not an Infiniti dealer? Are there none in your area? I realize that Infiniti is a fancy Nissan, but like Lexus is a fancy Toyota the Infiniti dealers usually do a better job servicing their own brand than the basic Nissan dealer. No need to stress out on the oil. No damage was done. Also no need to blow a fuse on the guy. Accidents happen and it's not like they forgot to tighten your lug nuts or something where damage was going to happen. Those oils are extremely similar. You'll be fine but I would consider fin ... | |||||
| Clunk noise on takeoff on 2004 Infiniti G35 | 27Relevance | 5 years ago | Scarbis93 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| 2004 g35 6Mt coupe 60,000 miles When driving my car for the first time in the morning there is a pop/clunk noise when taking off. The noise occurs after I warm up the car, disengage the parking brake and put it into gear. As soon as I begin to engage the clutch and try to takeoff the car will not be able to lurch forward, instead I hear the popping/ clunk sound from the front of the vehicle. The best way to describe it is it feels as if the parking brake is still engaged while trying to engage the clutch as The car struggles to move but eventually the pop sound occurs and the car can now lurch forward. After a few pops/ clunks my car drives normal and cannot be reproduced unless I let the car sit overnight without driving. Nothing else seems to be wrong except for this isolated incident when first driving the vehicle. thank you Scotty | |||||

| RE: 2010 Infiniti G37 | 27Relevance | 5 years ago | infinitifxfan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Exactly, Infiniti electronics are decent, Lexus is better but Infiniti and Acura are not far behind. They are not like German Brands. Just because Infiniti is part of Nissan, doesn't mean they are exactly the same quality. Infinitis are much better made than the Nissans. | |||||
