Hi looking for a daily driver/grocery getter. Someone is selling a 2010 Infiniti G37 4dr w/ 97k miles. One owner well maintained in and out. Looks like he took good care of it. I want another vehicle for weekend and recreational. I’ve driven these cars before and they are fun to drive, but I know it’s not a great brand. What are your thoughts? He is asking 11,900

Used Infinitis cost thousands of dollars in repairs. After it hits 100k, it only gets worse. And he's asking way too much. Please run away and look at something else.

how do you know that? I have seen them with over 300k miles and they still run strong and do not have to put serious money into unlike German cars. Infinitis are the much better quality cars than the Nissans since they were mostly made in Japan and didn't use a lot of the FWD cvt crap.

The computering used in those vehicles get complex when they age.

lol thats the same with Lexus.

They don’t get complex as they age and that makes no sense at all. Those cars were solid with a rear wheel drive designed non cvt. Those are very nice cars that can last an extremely long time

Exactly, Infiniti electronics are decent, Lexus is better but Infiniti and Acura are not far behind. They are not like German Brands. Just because Infiniti is part of Nissan, doesn't mean they are exactly the same quality. Infinitis are much better made than the Nissans.

Infiniti G37 is a great car and that 3.7 V6 with the RWD-based auto tranny can last a long time if well-taken care of, however, the price that they are asking for is a little too much. I would offer at max $8000.

Infinitis are much better made than the Nissans.

Both cars are made by Renault. They tried to restart dealerships in the US in the 1980s, and they were massive failure.  They're the exact same car, just upbadged. Upbadging means you're paying extra for your car, only because of "status". Japan no longer has an interest in Nissan.  Those transmissions are all made by Jatco, regardless of it being an Infiniti or Nissan. They were known as Datsun before they got bought out in 2000. They were every bit as tank-like in their day, the same as Honda and Toyota. It went along with the Japanese mentality of stuff lasting forever.

this is a super old post JS.
