| Answer to: Which reliable good looking car should I buy? | 22Relevance | 5 years ago | infinitifxfan | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Looks are subjective, but IMO you can check out the Civic Type R, Mazda Miata soft-top or RF (almost like a Porsche Targa), 350z or g35 with a manual (they are both pretty much the same car, the g35 is just a bit more upscale and fancy, and while the 370z is nice, IMO it looks too bloated and bubbly, but if you like it, it's worth considering). If you like rally cars, the WRX is also a nice one to consider (just make sure to get a nice one that's a manual and not extremely high mileage). Honda Accord 2.0T is a sleeper and I saw one smoke a new BMW 330i xdrive, which shows you that Honda makes amazing engines (that's not to say that BMW doesn't make great engines, as they do make amazing inline 6 engines, but 4 cylinders are not really their thing). | |||||
| Plenum Spacer? | 22Relevance | 6 years ago | Aktazf | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I have a 2003 g35. I have heard that adding a plenum spacer can help with performance. Is this true? Some people show dyno sheets that seem to indicate it is especially for the early model g35's like mine. What are the pros and cons of adding one. It seems like a good idea considering it is a cheap addition. I just don't want to decrease reliability or increase wear significantly on the engine. Any info on them would be good. I know virtually nothing about what they do exactly | |||||

| 2003 G35 - hang onto it or dump it? | 21Relevance | 5 years ago | tgraing | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Scotty, Have an 03 g35 Sedan that ive had for about 10 years. have done minimal major motor work other than changing the oil pretty religiously and two alternators. Car has about 215k miles on it and to be honest runs great. some clunks here and there, but nothin terrible from a driving perspective. How many miles have you seen on these cars/motors? Only next potential thing that needs to be fixed are the infamous leaky valve cover gaskets... im pretty handy and do my own work where i can. is this a pretty straight forward fix? is it crucial that i get it done? Thanks, Rick | |||||

| Hey, I’m having a problem with the clutch in my 6 speed 03 g35. It shifts fine and doesn’t slip, but when I put the car in reverse or start from first and slowly release the clutch, I hear a grinding noise. My clutch fluid level is fine, what could it be? Any help would be appreciated. | |||||

| There was a recall on the g35's for the cooling fans shorting out. Ask me how I know. I had one. For 3 days. Thankfully I was able to get the dealer to buy it back off me and I avoided them ever since. I like the look but not the mechanicals. | |||||

| My brother in law told me his friend is selling a g35 2006 for 3,500 with stock rims and 4,500 for custom rims. His friend was in the military and takes good care of his cars. Only problem is check engine light is on due to o2 sensor being dragged since the car is low and just needs to be replaced. Car has 173k miles with custom headlights as well. It would be my first car, any problems with this particular model? | |||||
| Should I buy this G35 | 21Relevance | 5 years ago | Jose james | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I've, been in the car market for a while and its been extremely difficult to find a good Toyota or Honda, anything remotely decent goes for 10k . My roommates father in law is selling his old 2007 infinity g35 (manual transmission) with 170k for 3k ( mostly freeway mileage). It really well taken care of and the only reason they are selling it is because they got a new car. I was think of possibly buying the vehicle since it seems like a really good car for the price and since it doesn't have the horrible cvt transmission. I know infinity's can get expensive to fix later down the line. Any thoughts on the vehicle? I'm taking it to a mechanic to get it analyzed before I even consider buying it. Thx for your guys help! | |||||

| I had a 2003 g35. It was a fun car, but started having transmission issues when it got older. Some of the more minor things that went wrong: the stereo/CD player stopped working, the radiator cracked, and the 3rd brake light burned out. | |||||
| Ive decided to replace engine on 220,000 mi G35 6MT 2006 | 21Relevance | 6 years ago | Godfather | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello all, I'm gonna look for a rev-up motor to fit into my g35 6mt. So far what I know is the engine is a vq35de and will just bolt right into the vehicle if the donor car has the same type of engine despite the year differences. What I also know is to get a low mileage motor like 70k-120k since I plan on keeping the car for a couple of years. I'm taking the gamble because its a Nissan engine I mean what can go wrong.. You just treat them right, right? Regular maintenance and whatnot. Plus the car is BEAUTIFUL. The paint is still frosty white with a strong manual transmission, it shifts like a dream. Speaking of transmission, I shouldn't be too worried if I treat the gearshift with love too right? OR should I be worried. What other parts should I start replacing to keep the car in great standing? edit: Lastly, I want to try to attempt to do the swap on my own if it's really that simple just follow directions, keep order of the steps you took to remove the engine, and apply it in reverse order when putting the new engine in. How difficult is engine swapping? I've seen there are youtube videos and tons of forums online so its possible I suppose. | |||||
