| It's time for chapter 2 in Mark's car diary. Thanks @Daywalker for your response. That list comes in handy. So my friend Scott Murphy at Lexus USA would get back to me in 24 hours. Of course he did not. It took 48 hours and several of my phone calls to get him on the line again. Don't even ask for a direct number, forget it. Long story short, Scott Murphy didn't believe a word I said. Recommends me to bring it to the Lexus dealership to authenticate the story and diagnose the car. So I did. Prestige Lexus of Ramsey repaired it correctly for about $600. ... | |||||
| Lexus for the Common Man? | 52Relevance | 5 years ago | Breakdown | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Lexus is a luxury brand owned by Toyota. Scotty likes the 2007 RX 350 and his wife's sedan. The 2007 Lexus RX 350 has a BIG problem with interior surfaces cracking. CarComplaints.com indicates the Lexus brand does not share the high number of issues seen with other brands—but this may reflect lower sales volumes, rather than overall quality. Lexus has had its own issues, particularly with fluid lines, engine and transmission failures, and fire hazards. Repairs of Lexus vehicles can be both staggering and comparable to another, more common vehicles, such as a ... | |||||

| Sorry to hear the Lexus vehicle and the dealership have not lived up to the Lexus “relentless pursuit of perfection” standards - although they don’t use that phrase anymore. In any event, 2007 RX350 was also one of the worst model years for the RX350, it turns out. You may want to go through the TSB list below to get ahead of other potential issues. | |||||

| My grandad had old Lexusgs v8. The car is from 1998 and has 512545miles on it. He religiously took take of the car and baby it. Engine and tranny is original. He never rebuild it or replaced it. Expect for some parts like air suspension, brake, alternator, tires, battery everything on it is original. He doesn't drive the car anymore due to his age and pass the car on to me. Due to that many miles I caint neither upgrade the car or modify it. So I had to option either sell it or give some one in need. Since car market was high I was curious how much will ... | |||||

| Hi Scotty, Thanks for all the great informative videos you have been producing over the years. I have definitely learned a thing or two thanks to you. On of the things I picked up on is car selection for example. I drive a Lexus RX350 2007 that now almost has 130,000 miles on it. I want to share something about Lexus USA on the one hand recognizing their shortcomings and Lexus Dealers on the other hand not honouring Lexus USA written commitments, but also neither warning me about potential dangers and ultimately leaving me stranded on the thruway with my ... | |||||

This would be our 5th certified Lexus and we have had no issues ever in the past with them. VIN JTJBM7FX3K5217104 Current listed price is $36,500 and I can probably get them down to $34K driveout. Autotrader says the current 36,500 list price is over 1000 below KBB fair value range. I'm currently entertaining taking a test drive; I haven't physically seen the vehicle yet, so unsure of the condition under the vehicle in terms of ru ... | |||||
| Lexus RX 350 4Gen exhaust drone problem! | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | Edaman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hey, based on Scottys advise, I bought a 2017 Lexus Rx350 AWD 33K miles. Awful experience! It has this drone vibration at 1500 rpm. Took it to Lexus under warranty. They change part of the exhaust system then the engine mount. Nothing changed. Lexus then said that is the car normal operation situation. The vibration is at any speed as long as you hit 1500 rpm. The gear stick feels like a hair buzzer at that rpm. Lexus form has long 140 pages thread about the same exact issue. We all need some one to help us put pressure on Lexus to fix this issue. Or h ... | |||||
| Lexus Vs. Mitsubishi? | 17Relevance | 5 years ago | SadLex | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scott, I know you're a big fan of Toyota/Lexus. But let me hear your opinion about my case. I purchased a 2006 Lexus IS250AWD and a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander AWD (LS). Got the vehicles new. The Lexus has been recalled 13 times, that's in addition to exhaust system severe corrosion, strut failure, O2 sensor failure. The Lexus is only driven 76,000 km. On the other hand, the Mitsubishi has never been recalled, driven 200,000 km, not even a single problem. To say the least, I can NOT recommend buying Lexus. I look forward to hearing from you. | Answer to: Lexus NX 200t or RX 350? | 25Relevance | 4 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| See below: Just realize it’s a fairly new turbocharged engine with 3 thermostats (more complexity) and won’t last as long as a naturally aspirated engine - assuming you wanted to keep for a very long time and rack up the miles well past 150,000 miles. Therefore, it’s a safer bet to go for the Lexus RX350 with the true and tried naturally aspirated V6 for longevity over the Lexus NX. | |||||
