Hi Guys,
I I have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer LS with 190,000 miles on it. I was working on my rear brakes and I noticed that it was a broken pipe can someone explain to me what is that and is that repairable? I’ve posted on pasteboard.
And what is it for
thanks
Where is the photo? I see a link to the website.
You have to click on the pictures on the site on the right hand side I believe it’s two pictures
Please don't post the same question. Thank you.
Well your rear suspension is snapped right in half. It's no longer safe to drive so you better park it until the part is replaced. You could get into a serious accident. I'm actually very surprised you didn't notice this sooner ... like when it happened.
is that repairable?
No it is not repairable. It must be replaced.
It's called the 'Rear upper control arm'. (part number 8 in the diagram below). And it's a critical, structural part of your vehicle chassis.
GM part#15098153
You can buy it on Rockauto for $48
I would also check to see how the other side is doing.
Thanks guy
I noticed that it was a broken pipe

You might want to replace that ASAP, because if you continue driving the vehicle as-is, you risk the other suspension bits suffering the same/similar fate.
