Hey Scotty, I have my grandmothers 07 Yaris sedan automatic and it only has 40,000km on it (from Canada) do you think this little car with only 4 cylinders is okay for long high way driving (road trips 400km- 4000km, also what should I inspect or look for on it to make sure it is suitable for long trips (coolant flush, brakes, oil done by me this summer) and what are your thoughts on it. Thanks!
It does not ride as comfortable as Camry bout it should be ok for travels. You don’t need to do coolant flush if the fluid is not dirty. Just drain and refill it.
If my 1999 Honda Accord with 270K can do long trips, the newer, younger, lower mileage Toyota Yaris can do it too, assuming everything checks out. Both coming from reputable companies.
I love the simplicity of the 2007 Yaris.
It should be fine when it comes to wear and getting you from A to B so you could do a trip on it the biggest things are...
1. small and not as comfortable as a Camry/Avalon
2. not as safe as the cars above. You will want to avoid any speeding near big rigs.
