Topic starter
I have a 2008 dodge dakota. It has an intermittent problem with starting. On occasion, when you try to start, the the engine will turn over, but the starter won't disengage, and so the engine stales out and the starter keeps cranking. I have already now replaced the starter relay, the starter motor and solenoid, and the ignition switch on the steering column. After replacing the ignition switch, the problem went away for three months or so, but now it seems to have returned.

I would assume you got a defective ignition switch then if it's doing it again either that or you have a wiring short somewhere that's burning it out
