I have a 2009 VW Routan which is a rebadged Dodge Grand Caravan. 3.8 v6 not a flex fuel. The problem I’ve been having is a low throttle input stumble under load. The car has to be rolling and after coasting a very small amount of throttle input, it commences to jerking along until more throttle is applied. It will also do it at highway speeds and an attempt to raise your speed slightly. Violent application of throttle results in a downshift and taking off like a scared rabbit, just like normal. Does not seem to suffer fuel pressure issues at full throttle. Has a fairly rough idle but has had that since I bought it 30k miles ago. Now at about 140k. A new throttle body netted no good results. Also no matter how long I make it stumble it will not set a cel or a code. Thanks for your ideas.
Well, so change the fuel filter & check the fuel pressure at idle then.. you may also want to have a read of the FAQ section of this website for engine misfires.
