11 bmw 328xi misfiring

hi i have a 2011 BMW 328i w/ xDrive. I replaced the spark plugs after i diagnosed it was misfiring (Bosch). I’m still having issues and the dealership says that the reason it’s still misfiring is because the coils aren’t “BMW” branded parts. they want a obsessive amount of money to replace the coils. i’m not sure what else could be going on that would be causing it to be misfiring.

any help would be great thanks.

You can use any ignition coil brand as long as it's identical. I bought aftermarket coils and they work fine with my BMW. Try to swap ignition coils and see if the misfire moves. If it does, then it's the coil that needs to be replaced. If not, then it could be a fuel injector issue or something that needs more investigation. Be sure that the spark gap was correct and that it was properly torqued down.
