can't use the fob correctly, must insert in port in center console then press start button. is this a deal killer, disabled 60+ not tons of money. should i steer clear?

Do you have any other options, within your budget?

do have a nice 02 focus svt, runs good.. high miles, but excellent shape.. listed it for grins for 4700, and have ppl wanting it left & right. hv a guy coming to get it for 4500 tmrw, caught me off guard, looking for a replacement w/less miles ..tbh, the svt runs like a dream, no leaks, no smoke, & did put some money & time into it *clutch & more.. am i crazy to sell it or keep it 237k ?

like to add, i'm older, don't drive but around 5k miles a year. *everything works, no codes..

I would stay clear of any Hyundai Motor Group product, especially past 100,000 miles.  We are currently not recommending any of their products.

not tons of money

Then definitely without a doubt stay away from any Hyundai/Kia product because the problems those cars have and will have you'll be spending on fixing them all the time if they don't catch on fire that is.

If you can financially look for an older Honda or Toyota. There are for sure model/years of them to avoid but in general are a lot better than Kia/Hyundai products and also why cost more when buying used.

It might be a good idea to get rid of it, at that mileage.

I’d recommend you stick to a Corolla/Civic, or a RAV4/CR-V (if you like the ease of entry/exit).

At your age, what you need is a fuss free vehicle. Something which a high mileage, 11 yr old Kia, will most likely not provide you.

It's eleven years old. I like kia's but I like to trade them in at 100K other wise they start to cost big money to maintain. Those key fobs are not cheap. Around $200 last time I checked and you need a locksmith to pair them to  the vehicle so that's usually extra. I would pass.
