Looking at buying myself a 1991 Integra RS from a private seller. Car has 112,000 Miles on it and the seller is the original owner. Interior is very clean and mechanically (inspected myself and verified by my mechanic) is in great shape. They're asking $3000 for it......I honestly don't feel like it's worth much more than $2000.....am I being cheap here or are they asking too much?

Instead of replying individually I thought I'd just reply with this. I am absolutely an enthusiast, my first car was a 91 Integra and I absolutely loved it. Something about the automatic shoulder seatbelt, the hatchback, and the fact that honda/acuras will run forever if they're treated right had and still has me hooked. It is a 5 speed, and the seller is a gentlemen in his 60s who told me he simply wanted to sell it to someone who would appreciate it the way that he does.....I think that person is me and I'm going to pick it up today!

Congratulations & all the best!

That's awesome! Sounds like you are getting a real gem.

Cars that old are worth whatever two people agree to pay. $3000 is not a lot of money, but the car is ancient. If you think it is worth $2000, offer $2000. Worst they can say is no.

Is it a manual transmission? If it's in the great condition as you described, then yeah I would say it's worth every bit of the $3000. Try finding another 1 owner 30-year-old Acura Integra in excellent condition with only 112K miles - I guarantee you it will be a long long time before you do (if at all). To me that is a really good deal, especially if you're an Acura enthusiast and appreciate their older offerings.

absolutely no way I would spend $3k on a 30 year old car

Normally I would agree, but a 1-owner Integra from 1991 with only 112K miles!?! Those just don't exist anymore. For the enthusiast, it's seems like a very rare opportunity to get a mint condition older Acura.

not very many 30 year old cars exist anymore. There are plenty of old cars that I think are really cool too. But I would never want to own one.

That's true - it's certainly not a good idea for a daily driver. As a fan of older Hondas, I think this would be a really cool weekend car to enjoy. Since it's still 1 owner all these years later, it was likely cared for well with minimal miles put on. Plus, it's kind of cool to have a car this old in such nice shape.

meh

If you are into Honda/Acura and its history, that may well be worth it.

If it were any other car at that age and mileage, probably too much.

If you see it as a cheap car to get around car and want a car and found this, I agree it isn't worh $3000

If you are an enthusiast and looking for one this clean and with low mileage, jump on it!
