1992 Geo Metro 1.0L 3CYL Automatic with 200k miles. Began making a very annoying ticking noise, suspected the hydraulic lifters, replaced them and the sound went away completely. One week later a similar noise appeared as heard here https://youtu.be/859711mKJi4
What could this be? Thank you very much

Check the oil pressure. The noise could be also be a worn out camshaft lobe or valve spring. Make sure that it's not a leak from the exhaust manifold. If it is, you would get bad fuel economy and a loss of power.
