Good morning Scotty

Hope this finds you well and healthy.

I've been watching your videos for some time now and I really do appreciate your honesty when it comes to a lot of these vehicles, thank you for that. I wish there would be more people with honesty in their hearts to know that everyone deserves honesty when it comes to buying and maintaining their car.

My question is, I have a 1993 Chevrolet Corvette 40th Anniversary model, quasar blue in color, black interior, it's a decent car that I really enjoy having, but lately I've had that same old optispark issue that this car is known for. I bought all the parts that were needed for this project and since I was working on the front end, I did new plugs, wires, fuel pump, ignition coil and module and I made a mistake bending the power steering pulley, so I had to search and search AND search till I finally found one site that makes these chrome or black billet pulleys brand new for a much lower cost of buying a used one and since these aren't being made by the dealership anymore  or anywhere basically, it was hard to find but I purchased it and it looks really nice, after putting the entire front end together, I prayed for it to start but no luck, I then knew I did something incorrectly and I read many forums and the same thing prevailed, I had to test and do so many things, unfortunately I don't have many of those tools and devices needed to do all this and I prefer not to play with the electrical system or testing the fuel lines especially since gasoline is involved and my garage smells like a garage that wasn't so good for my sons room which is right above. SO I decided to take it to my local mechanic who is also what I consider a good mechanic. After two weeks, they  called and told me it was ready, turns out I installed the optispark incorrectly but it FINALLY started, thank goodness. After taking this car on a long drive to the beach with my son, it left us stranded about 50 miles from the beach, I was so upset, sadly my son and I had a bad day that entire Saturday. Now that the car is up and running, I'm contemplating IF I should keep this car, I enjoy it, I enjoy looking at it and its a nice classic car, has about 125K mileage, 350 V8, which isn't at its top condition but still nice to drive, but it's safe to say I will not take it on a long drive again, being afraid of it leaving me stranded.

From your experience dealing with all these vehicles you look over every day, what is your opinion on keeping this car or should I just give up on it and get rid of it. I trust you and I'm sure you'll be honest in your suggestion.

I thank you so much for taking the time in reading this quandary and hope to see your reply IF you decide to put this question on one of your videos, I have several pictures I wish I  could send you but I'm at work at the moment so I'm not able to.

Please do let me know if you use this on your videos, I would enjoy seeing it.

Always the best to you and yours

Lando
