1993 F-150 5.0L doesn’t start how it should

I’ve had my truck now for a little over a month. It doesn’t start how it should. Turn the key and it cranks for a while then finally it will start. When it starts it idles rough and sometimes shuts off while idling. It occasionally will shut off while driving. It’s a 93 with 120,000 miles on it. It has a bad fuel pump in the front tank. Any ideas what would cause these issues? Thanks in advance.
