I'm Jordan and I live in Oregon where I just bought a 1994 Toyota Celica. This car has 330,000 miles on it.
I noticed in one of your videos you mentioned that you also own a 1994 Toyota Celica. So I'm hoping you can share with me any of the common problems to watch out for.
The issue I'm currently having is a bad power steering leak. I'm having to put ATF in the power steering reservoir every day. I believe the leak is coming from where the two power steering lines coming from the PS pump connect into the pinion assembly. Reason I say that is because there is a ton of old dried up PS or ATF fluid underneath the pinion assembly and I think but not sure I seen it leaking from there.
Any ideas on the best way to fix this without spending a lot of money?
If you're lucky you have a leak in the 28-year-old rubber hoses rather then the power steering rack. What you could do is clean up the area that's all crudded up and look for fresh fluid leaking as you run the engine. Using a UV dye may help if you can't tell where it's coming from.
No.
