1998 Ford F-150 bogs down when put into gear

Hello everyone I have a 1998 Ford F-150 with 100,000 miles on it and an automatic transmission. The transmission range module seized up with rust and made it too hard to shift and the column shifter tube broke. But before it seized it still drove fine. After a few months (it’s a truck we don’t use much) I removed The range sensor and the actual shift linkage was able to move freely again and shift gears. I got it running again and installed a new sensor but now it has a strange issue… When it’s in park or neutral, the engine runs and revs fine. But when I put into drive or reverse, I can hear it shift. And the engine still runs ok, but when I let off the brake and press the gas, the engine started stuttering and shaking and trying to die. If I let off the gas, it just goes back to idling fine. I press the gas, it does it again. If I keep pressing the gas and sort of feathering it, it will move, but barely. I am at a loss it ran fine before. I scanned it, it threw these codes: P1747, P0750, P0755, P0743. Any help will be greatly appreciated, I need to get this work truck back up and running. Thanks!

read the FAQ for "I have a trouble light"

It sounds like the TCC is getting stuck engaged.

It's unlikely for so many electrical parts to fail at once, so the issue will be something more general that affects a lot of things, like a connectors, wiring harnesses, fuses, etc.

Like the FAQ says, to troubleshoot a trouble code you need to go to a technical website and follow the diagnostic steps there.

Do you think I damaged anything by trying to get it to rev out of it? I thought it was fuel injectors to begin with and was trying to clean it out.

It's like a clutch on any manual tranny, except this one is much more difficult to replace. Yes that would have put a lot of wear on it. Forcing something mechanical to do something it doesn't want to do is a pretty surefire way of damaging things.

Do you have any tips on where I should look for the electrical issue?

yes, at the website link I provided.

My bad I should have been more specific. It’s P1747 EPC Solenoid short circ, P0750 Shift Solenoid A, P0755 Shift Solenoid B, and P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical
