Hi, I have a 1999 Crown Vic and I just changed the oil in it. The manual says to use 5w-30 but I have read online that Ford came out with a service bulletin to use 5w-20. I'm now reading in forums that 5w-20 gets better gas mileage but 5w-30 protects your engine more. What oil should I use? Thank you very much from Iowa!

I would stick to what manual says (5W30). I don't know how much I can trust this gas mileage improvement claim.
