Just bought a 1999 Toyota Avalon with 159k. Had the trans fluid and filter changed as well as coolant. I asked them to use Toyota fluid and they said they would but didn’t, used an Asian mix for coolant and maxtron for trans fluid. Also I’ve read the filter is specific screen mesh type and they used a filter kit from oreillys, I’d that ok? I’m almost tempted to ask them if they’d redo it with oem fluids and filter. I’m a bit of a worry wort, want it to last. Thanks!
What do the back of the jugs say? Is it compatible with the fluid spec in your owner’s manual?
Oh really if the specs are the same on the oil that's perfectly fine in those mesh filters are kind of a joke anyway they don't do much of anything you can just take the old one I'll clean it and put it back in
The only issue I see here is that the shop did not do what you wanted done. Find somebody else to work with you.
