Hello scotty, my friend has a good ol' made in Mexico 2018 Nissan Kicks with about 14k miles and a CVT. I scanned her car with my blue driver and found the following codes:
- B2602-2A: Shift position: Signal stuck in Range
- U1000-01: CAN communication circuit: General Electric Failure
Should she be worried and what can be done?
Also i think the shift position code means that the vehicle is moving when in park, and that the u1000 code is directly connected to tthat
the u1000 code could very well be caused by the scanner your using. newer can networks do not like the aftermarket scanners because the can speeds vary and most do not keep up with newer systems. also the code does not lean towards a cvt issue. possible something within the shifter or the intelligent key. could try changing the battery in the key if its getting weak.
Can you clear the codes and see if they come back?
